At Springbrook, everything boils down to doing life together. That is why we have small groups and why they are so important. A small group is 3-15 people who meet on a consistent basis with a designated leader that practice 5 Biblical purposes in helping people in the group take their next step toward spiritual maturity. It’s that simple. We need to experience life together. Sometimes we need support in life and other times we just need to recover from life.

Our small groups are much more than just a weekly meeting, they are about community. A group of friends with whom you can share, laugh and serve together. This is the place where you learn and grow together, discovering and challenging each other in God's Word and how it is applied to your everyday life. There are a variety of groups that meet throughout the week at different times and locations, studying a variety of topics.

So what are you waiting for? Act now and join a group today!

Ministry Serving Opportunities

  • Participants

Our greatest opportunity is for interested individuals to choose and commit to a small group. Each individual that God has placed here is vital to the group and the group to them as they give and receive in the way God has provisioned us. You will be warmly welcomed in whatever group you choose to attend.

  • Childcare

There is an opportunity for individuals who are willing to offer childcare to support the small groups. Perhaps you can rotate in providing this service so that other parents have a chance to focus on their spiritual growth and needs. Or, you may be willing to open your home during one of the small group meeting times to provide off-site childcare. Jr. High students may be able to watch over younger children in the basement or playroom at a small group host location. The gifts of helps, mercy, teaching, encouragement and administration may all be valuable in this ministry.

  • Hosts

There are openings for small group hosts who are willing to open their homes and generously make all feel welcome. This is a great opportunity for those with a gift of hospitality to provide an inviting setting for the small group meetings. The host is responsible for providing the location as well as coordinating the refreshments (i.e., enlisting volunteers on a sign-up sheet).

  • Leadership

There are opportunities for leading, co-leading or apprenticing in small groups in areas of service and ministry, in relational choice groups, support groups, and groups that are forming on an age or gender basis. Those gifted with shepherding and teaching strengths and those able to make a strong commitment to both the group and periodic leadership gatherings are encouraged to consider existing areas and divisions of small group life or new areas of interest or focus as the Lord inspires.

  • Administration

There are opportunities for work in the week-to-week oversight of existing groups and the start of new groups.
